Lars Weibull AB was the seller’s advisor when Storskogen acquired all shares in Stål & Rörmontage in Sölvesborg AB (SRMAB). The company is one of the leading players in Sweden in the production of cisterns, pressure vessels, advanced steel structures and stainless steel bridges.
Introduction
SRMAB offers a comprehensive set-up ranging from design, strength calculation, preparation, manufacturing to on-site assembly. Today, the company has about 50 employees and has extensive experience and expertise in qualified steel structures and welding. The salesmen, Ronny and Susanne Södergren will continue to work in the company and Ronny will continue as the company’s CEO.
Several major and prestigious assignments have passed the company’s order books over the years. Among other things, SRMAB has been involved in making large steel structures for the Öresund Bridge, manufacturing a unique spiral staircase to Emporia in Malmö, manufacturing and constructing Europe’s longest walking and cycling bridge in the form of the prestigious Sölvesborg Bridge and Northern Europe’s largest Sandvik / LKAB crushing plant in Kiruna. The last prestige mission is to build Söderströmsbroarna, four environmentally friendly bridges in stainless Duplex steel at Slussen in Stockholm.
The company has invested a lot and has unique expertise in constructing and manufacturing bridges in stainless steel and high strength Duplex steel. Compared with the old coal-steel bridges, the Duplex steel has lower maintenance costs, is better for the environment, and has a significantly longer technical life span of at least 120 years.
