AAAAA Nordic AB acquired by J2 Sourcing AB
Malmö based J2 Sourcing AB acquires 100% of the shares in AAAAA Nordic AB (5A) in Vellinge. The investment is a first step in building a new business unit within the J2 Group, where the company wants to offer an expanded selection of suppliers to reduce costs and shorten lead times for the manufacturing industry and contract manufacturers within Europe. Weibull M&A was the sell side advisor in the transaction.
5A is an established supplier of selected electronic components from qualitative manufacturers. With a broad product portfolio, the company offers cost-effective solutions with high delivery precision to contract manufacturers and the manufacturing industry in the Nordics. Bo Nilsson founded the company in 1997 and will now step down as CEO.
J2 Sourcing is a leading distributor of electronic components based in Malmö. The company started in 2004, employs about 120 people and the customers are leading brands in the manufacturing industry in Europe. J2 Sourcing has offices in Malmö, London and Tokyo.
J2 Sourcing has decided to build a brand-new business unit with the business idea based primarily on representing Asian leading manufacturers in electronic components in Europe, with stock on site in Sweden. 5A is acquired to form the platform in this new offer. The offer will be aimed at the European manufacturing industry including contract manufacturers who can thereby lower their manufacturing costs through a larger selection of suppliers to a corresponding quality level.
The plan is to further develop the business and the organization with Mathias Bergman, with experience from the customer side, as the new CEO. The goal is for the new venture to have a turnover of 1 billion SEK within 5 years.
