CaMa Group is acquired by CaMa Intressenter

CaMa Group is acquired by CaMa Stakeholders.

On December 9, 2016, it was announced that the majority of CaMa Group AB, owned by Magnus Skoglund, would be sold to David Rönnberg, René Köhler, Klas Berggren, Mathias Hedström, and Martin Larsson. Magnus Skoglund reinvests in the new company and will continue to serve as the CEO of the business. The focus is now set on building upon the positive development that the company has experienced, together with the new owners.

CaMa Group is a rapidly growing e-commerce company that sells carpets and hats to consumers in Europe. The products are sold through the established webshops Trendcarpet and Hatshop. The company currently operates in about ten European countries, and its web commerce is adapted to each country's language and payment solutions. The company was founded in Gothenburg by Magnus Skoglund in the fall of 2008 and is based in Mölndal. Since its inception, CaMa Group has grown annually by over 40% while maintaining good profitability, and this year it is expected to surpass a turnover of 20 million SEK.

Magnus Skoglund is now selling the majority of the company's shares to a group of investors with extensive experience in e-commerce. Klas Berggren, Mathias Hedström, and Martin Larsson co-founded Addnature. David Rönnberg was the CEO of Addnature and Brandos and is currently the CEO of Indiska AB. René Köhler (Germany) founded Internetstores, a European company that acquired Addnature in 2012. Less than three months ago, it was announced that Internetstores, including Addnature, was sold to Austrian company Signa, and now it is time to focus on building a new e-commerce group, where CaMa Group becomes an important building block.

"We are very pleased with the acquisition and believe that with our background in e-commerce and our experience from the Addnature/Internetstores journey, combined with Magnus' knowledge in the segment, we can create something very exciting together. The products that CaMa Group works with are in a segment that is growing strongly in e-commerce, and there is great potential for growth in existing product areas as well as in new markets," says David Rönnberg.

"With the strong growth we have in CaMa Group and its e-commerce, I felt that it was time to bring in new owners with relevant expertise and background to continue building the company forward. The solid e-commerce experience of the new owners feels right for CaMa, and I am confident that together we can further accelerate Trendcarpet and Hatshop. We have a very exciting journey ahead!" adds Magnus Skoglund, the seller.

Weibull M&A acted as the seller's advisor in the process.
