Carl Rietz acquire Herrljunga Träindustri
Weibull M&A acted as advisor to the sellers when Göteborgs List & Träindustri AB (GLT) merged with Herrljunga Träindustri AB.
A viable and stable actor within the Scandinavian moulding/wrapping industry and interior components is created through a structural transaction. The new owner of the companies is Carl Rietz, who has a solid industrial experience of structural transactions and building new organisations. The formal closing was on June 1 2015.
Carl Rietz acquires all shares in Herrljunga Träindustri AB, which in turn, through an asset deal, acquires the operations of GLT. During 2015, the machines and the production of GLT will gradually be moved to Herrljunga. Investments are made in Herrljunga to cope with the increased production capacity and expanded product portfolio.
As GLT has a very large fleet of machinery the move to Herrljunga will have a minimal impact on to the customers. Today Herrljunga employs about 20 people, while GLT has thirty employees in Gothenburg. These employees have been offered new positions at the plant in Herrljunga.
The merged business will be able to offer a unique combination of high capacity and flexibility. GLT has a history, experience and machinery that offer excellent opportunities to efficiently produce large series of different moulded and solid wood products. While Herrljunga is a trusted producer of short series of moulded and complex products with a high degree of finishing work.
-“The goal of the merger is that we can offer our customers an even wider product range with the recognised high quality and delivery precision GLT and Herrljunga Wood is known for”, says Carl Rietz.
