Stål & Rörmontage i Sölvesborg AB (SRMAB) is being acquired by Storskogen.
Weibull M&A advised the sellers in the acquisition of all shares in Stål & Rörmontage i Sölvesborg AB (SRMAB) by Storskogen. The company is one of the leading players in Sweden in the manufacturing of tanks, pressure vessels, advanced steel structures, and stainless steel bridges.
SRMAB offers a comprehensive package that includes everything from design, structural analysis, planning, cost estimation, manufacturing, to on-site installation. The company currently has around 50 employees and possesses extensive experience and expertise in sophisticated steel structures and welding. The sellers, Ronny and Susanne Södergren, will continue working in the company, with Ronny remaining as the CEO.
Over the years, the company has secured several large and prestigious projects. SRMAB has been involved in significant steel structures for the Öresund Bridge, manufactured a unique spiral staircase for the Emporia shopping center in Malmö, constructed and designed Europe's longest pedestrian and cycling bridge known as the acclaimed Sölvesborg Bridge, as well as Northern Europe's largest crushing plant for Sandvik/LKAB in Kiruna. The latest prestigious project is the construction of four environmentally friendly bridges using duplex stainless steel, known as the Söderströmsbroarna at Slussen in Stockholm.
The company has made substantial investments and possesses unique expertise in the design and manufacturing of bridges using stainless steel and high-strength duplex steel. Compared to traditional carbon steel bridges, duplex steel offers lower maintenance costs, better environmental performance, and significantly longer technical lifespan of at least 120 years.
